You should attend at 0900 at wick (Police Station /Office/Meeting room notified). If you park up at the front and go into reception we will sort you out from there.

We usually clear parking areas for the bikes but won't know till the morning of the session if this is a available.

Your motorcycle should be road legal with current Insurance, road tax and an MOT if required. You should also have sufficient fuel for a journey lasting approx 100 miles or so

The morning session is classroom based Theory. This lasts until we are all burst and want out. No seriously, its a couple of hours which is very informal in which we discuss scenarios and how we think they should be tackled, also pulling on past experiences the "pupils" have. Its usually a lively debate on some points but we find common ground. We cover road position, hazard awareness, cornering position & the benefits, filtering, overtaking and anything else the pupils want covered. (Group riding is sometimes asked for)

There is then usually a BikAid input from a motorcycle paramedic. Its a short session on what to do if you come across a motorcycle casualty & the old dilemma of when to take a helmet off or leave it on.

After this we have the on road session when you are out with one of us for the assessment ride which last as long as you guys want - within reason - but usually a couple of hours between three of you.

We supply Tea/coffee etc throughout the day, but as you will be here from 0900 until 1500/1600 or sometimes later you may get peckish and need a bite to eat. We can stop for a hour or so for people to get something out the local supermarket or you can bring in sandwiches etc to eat here. We have the usual kitchen facilities at the office

All going well see you at wick.
